Long time, no post? well not that long

Fuck man, I'm sorry to all of you that I have been slacking on the posting. I'm kind of at a crossroads with this deadline thing, thanks to all of you guys it has grown in popularity (on a very small scale of course, im not trying to toot our own horn over here). I have been thinking really hard about where to go with deadline, I'm launching a new site with an art collective and other bmx, and non-bmx related stuff. This blog will still be up and I will still be posting regularly. I am going to be couch surfing between Philly and NJ for the next few months, riding out there and hooking up with some artists who would like to contribute to all the new shit. Lots of trips and stuff being planned, there is an article for Dig in the works. Hope they don't mind if i spill the beans.

January Twentieth Two Thousand Fucking Nine.

Holy shit! That was one of the most epic things I have ever been a part of, well besides the Kink video premiere in Rochester. Justin Owens, John Decaprio, and myself got to the mall at about eight o'clock. The journey there was an experience in its self, there was most definitely a buzz in the air that was unescapable. We woke up at around seven and ate some food, running of of only 3 hours of shitty sleep we made our way to a bus stop in the slums which was kinda sketchy. The bus we caught ended up being the wrong one and we went like an hour out of the way, we ended up arriving at the mall, which our arrogant asses thought was going to be a shopping mall and got really confused for a few minutes. Once we arrived it was a jaw dropping site, a sea of people as far as the eye could see, and i mean that literally, when you squinted the sea of people would meet with the horizon over the capital hill and at that point you realize where your standing and how big of a deal this all really is. Im sure, or well I hope that you know how big of a deal it this all really is, not only for the end of a terrible era in American history but a huge step forward for social progress yada yada yada. After Obama's speech we decided to cut out and try to get a head start on the other million or so people there, but it was fucking mayhem trying to walk in the streets of DC. The freeways were loaded with thousands of people trying to make there way completely blocking traffic. We tried to follow an ambulance, that was short lived. We looked behind us to see hundreds of people following our lead so we were all stopped, streets were blocked of the for parade and we ended up jumping a few fences and walking through some sketchy terrain. Never felt unsafe though, it seemed like everyone had the same feeling. OK OK... Trails, rails and bails, I know this is supposed to be a bmx blog but fuck it, we are going riding in a few hours after we warm up and chill out. Maybe a few clips will result, its pretty frigid out here, and the night life will inevitably suck us in. Hope this Obama doesn't fuck us.

some photos coming soon

Early as shit.

Its 6:45 and we are all getting up to go get a spot for the inauguration ceremony, can't wait to ride the city later. ha thats all I got. peace

Barack and Roll

Decaprio and I are heading down to Washington DC to go see Obama's inauguration speech and witness some history. Decaprio mentioned something about a holding up some crazy ass sign. Im stoked to just party in the streets and getting wild. I plan on shooting some B&W photos of epic proportions. Apparently there are 2 million people in dc for the speech. fuck yea.

Colin under the knife / The Staff Conspiracy

So Colin is down for the count. He just had surgery on his bum knee today which went well. These are some pictures they took of his innards during his time under the knife. It seems like our crew is slowly getting picked off one by one, it is probably at the hands of those bastards at Staff-BMX mail order. Bob Pratt has probably got his cronies going around loosening our nuts and bolts to sabotage our filming. First JJ, then Carter, now Colin. Well you better try harder than that, womp as bitches.

JJ Palmere has been healing up like the legend that he is. He is stoked on deadline, and recently got picked up by Mongoose which is pretty sweet. Fuzzy Status. He should be coming on the next trip. JJ is going to be back in the game one hundred percent before we can say rail hop.

Thank you to everyone out there for showing us around and all, we don't get a lot of that out our way, or in bike riding in general nowadays. I was stoked to see how many non US visitors we have to out site! Fuck yea Russia, if any of you русский get a chance to read this, thanks for checking us out and reading about all of our bullshit. late

Flat Black Broken Back

I turns out Carter was an inch away from being in a wheel chair for the rest of his life. Atlanta stuff coming soon.

Last night got pretty wild. Marshall, Garrett, Colin, and I all showed up to Augie's house. The street was packed to the tits with NY license plates. The house was packed with lots of different people I have never seen before, and I knew that eighty people can't all like each other. Everything went well until about five minutes after the ball dropped. Half the party went outside to light the Christmas tree on fire at twelve which went well. We all went inside after that, and someone got real wild and sprayed champagne all over the living room, kicked shit around and just really fucked everything up. Augie starts to get loose and before Carter could get the words "fuck you" out of his mouth some jock punched him in the face. They both fell down the stairs, Carter got the worst of the fall landing straight on his back from the top of the twelve stairs. The pain set it a few moments later he ended up going to the hospital. I went in to see how he was doing, he seemed fine saying thing like, " What kind of pussy throws someone down the stairs, he's fucked." Yelling at nurses and texting shady girls. We found out this morning that he actually fractured his back. What a savage.
