Long time, no post? well not that long
Fuck man, I'm sorry to all of you that I have been slacking on the posting. I'm kind of at a crossroads with this deadline thing, thanks to all of you guys it has grown in popularity (on a very small scale of course, im not trying to toot our own horn over here). I have been thinking really hard about where to go with deadline, I'm launching a new site with an art collective and other bmx, and non-bmx related stuff. This blog will still be up and I will still be posting regularly. I am going to be couch surfing between Philly and NJ for the next few months, riding out there and hooking up with some artists who would like to contribute to all the new shit. Lots of trips and stuff being planned, there is an article for Dig in the works. Hope they don't mind if i spill the beans.

January Twentieth Two Thousand Fucking Nine.
Holy shit! That was one of the most epic things I have ever been a part of, well besides the Kink video premiere in Rochester. Justin Owens, John Decaprio, and myself got to the mall at about eight o'clock. The journey there was an experience in its self, there was most definitely a buzz in the air that was unescapable. We woke up at around seven and ate some food, running of of only 3 hours of shitty sleep we made our way to a bus stop in the slums which was kinda sketchy. The bus we caught ended up being the wrong one and we went like an hour out of the way, we ended up arriving at the mall, which our arrogant asses thought was going to be a shopping mall and got really confused for a few minutes. Once we arrived it was a jaw dropping site, a sea of people as far as the eye could see, and i mean that literally, when you squinted the sea of people would meet with the horizon over the capital hill and at that point you realize where your standing and how big of a deal this all really is. Im sure, or well I hope that you know how big of a deal it this all really is, not only for the end of a terrible era in American history but a huge step forward for social progress yada yada yada. After Obama's speech we decided to cut out and try to get a head start on the other million or so people there, but it was fucking mayhem trying to walk in the streets of DC. The freeways were loaded with thousands of people trying to make there way completely blocking traffic. We tried to follow an ambulance, that was short lived. We looked behind us to see hundreds of people following our lead so we were all stopped, streets were blocked of the for parade and we ended up jumping a few fences and walking through some sketchy terrain. Never felt unsafe though, it seemed like everyone had the same feeling. OK OK... Trails, rails and bails, I know this is supposed to be a bmx blog but fuck it, we are going riding in a few hours after we warm up and chill out. Maybe a few clips will result, its pretty frigid out here, and the night life will inevitably suck us in. Hope this Obama doesn't fuck us.

Barack and Roll
Decaprio and I are heading down to Washington DC to go see Obama's inauguration speech and witness some history. Decaprio mentioned something about a holding up some crazy ass sign. Im stoked to just party in the streets and getting wild. I plan on shooting some B&W photos of epic proportions. Apparently there are 2 million people in dc for the speech. fuck yea.
